If you choose Mortise Locks, such as SKR600, SR6 and SK6, it's not easy to install them by yourself.  It's highly recommended to ask SCG or professional locksmiths to do the installation for you.

If you choose tubular latch locks, such as SR500, SK5, SK9, and SR9，and the old lock that you used in your home is also cylindrical lock (the hole size is 54mm), then you can install by yourself.  We usually will check the old door and old door lock on stie to ensure that your door is appropriate for digital door locks.  Then we'll recommend suitable models for your choice. 

Note: For installation of SK9 and SR9, an extra small hole is required above the original 54mm hole.
